The poroelastic effect in the neighbourhood of artificial fracture will change the direction of the new diverting cracks. Results show that: (1) pore pressure has a significant impact on the crack propagation path in the fiber-assisted diverting fracturing. The corresponding solutions are compared to that in the case of fixed pore pressure. The fluid pressure in the crack, pore pressure in the matrix and displacement fields are fully coupled within the framework of XFEM. XFEM is utilized to simulate the diverting crack initiation and propagation path. However, few investigations are focused on the influence of pore pressure on crack propagation in the process of fiber-assisted diverting fracturing because of the strong fluid-rock coupling interaction near the hydro-fracture. Vector u and fluid pressure p can be respectivelyĪBSTRACT: Fiber-assisted diverting fracturing is an important stimulation technology when the formation has poor ability to produce complex fracture network. Due to their ultra-low matrix permeability, on mesh refinement near the crack, here XFEM Resources such as shale gas, coal-bed methane and tight crack paths in the cas.
